These terms apply to consumer purchases from Fly Tying World. They do not remove or restrict your statutory rights.

1. Business details

Fly Tying World is the trading name of Samuel Blyth, a sole trader. The business is not VAT registered.

  • Email: sales@sbangling.co.uk
  • Telephone: 0333 090 6361
  • Business correspondence and returns address: Fly Tying World, 7 Parsons Close, St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, TN38 9QT, United Kingdom.

This address is not a walk-in shop or a retail collection point. Contact us for return instructions; this does not make a valid statutory cancellation dependent on our permission.

2. Products and ordering

Please read the product information, select the size, colour or other option you want, and check your basket before placing an order. Goods must match their description. Differences between screen displays do not remove that right.

You can use guest checkout or a customer account. Please provide accurate contact and delivery details and tell us promptly if you notice an error.

Availability can differ between options. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you. We will not substitute a different product without your agreement. Where the law entitles you to end the contract, or we agree to cancel it, we will refund the payment due. This does not give us a general right to cancel an already accepted order.

3. Prices and payments

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Fly Tying World is not VAT registered. Applicable delivery charges and valid discounts are included in the checkout summary before you commit to payment.

Use a payment method offered at checkout. Card and PayPal payments are available, with supported wallet options such as Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link where offered for your device and transaction. The selected provider’s terms apply to its payment service.

If we identify a pricing error, we will contact you to resolve it. We will not take an additional payment without your agreement or use a pricing-error clause to avoid an already binding contract contrary to law.

4. Order confirmation

We accept your order when we send our order-confirmation email. This is when the sales contract is formed. Dispatch correspondence provides an update on delivery; acceptance does not wait until dispatch. Any payment that remains due must be completed before we send the goods.

Keep your order and dispatch correspondence for reference. Contact us if you have paid but have not received an order email, or if any details are incorrect.

5. UK delivery

  • Royal Mail 2nd Class: £3.99 per order.
  • Royal Mail 1st Class: £5.00 per order.
  • Free UK delivery on qualifying orders over £40, assessed using the subtotal after discounts.

Checkout shows the delivery methods and charges available for your address. The free-delivery offer does not mean that every delivery service is free. Check the order summary before paying.

We normally dispatch orders within 24 hours, excluding weekends. Dispatch is when we send your parcel; it is not a promise that it will arrive within 24 hours. Any delivery estimate depends on the products and delivery service selected. See https://flytyingworld.co.uk/shipping-returns/ for delivery information.

Unless another period is agreed with you, goods must be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days. If delivery is late or an order does not arrive, contact us. We will investigate and provide the remedies required by law. Goods remain our responsibility until you, or a person you nominate, take physical possession, except where a different rule lawfully applies because you arranged your own carrier independently.

6. Your right to cancel an online purchase

For goods covered by the statutory cancellation right, you may cancel without giving a reason from placing your order until 14 days after the day you receive the goods. If one order is delivered in separate parts, the cancellation period normally runs from receipt of the last item.

Tell us clearly that you wish to cancel by email or post using the details in section 1. Include your name, order number if available and the goods concerned. You can use the optional form below, but do not have to. You do not need our permission to exercise a valid cancellation right.

Return the goods within 14 days after telling us you are cancelling, unless we have agreed to collect them. You may handle them as reasonably necessary to check their nature, characteristics and functioning. Opening ordinary packaging does not automatically remove your cancellation right.

We may deduct a legally permitted amount for diminished value caused by excessive handling, where the required cancellation information was provided. We do not impose an unopened-packaging condition on statutory cancellation rights.

No product-specific cancellation exception is stated in these terms. We do not treat ordinary fly-tying goods as automatically excluded from cancellation merely because packaging is opened.

You pay the direct cost of a change-of-mind return only where the law allows this and we informed you before purchase. We pay necessary reasonable return postage for faulty, damaged or incorrect goods and returns caused by our error.

7. Refunds following statutory cancellation

For cancellation of a whole order, we refund the goods and the least expensive standard outbound delivery charge offered. An additional amount paid for a premium delivery service need not be refunded. A partial cancellation is assessed according to the goods and any delivery charge concerned.

Refunds are made without undue delay. Where goods have been supplied and we have not offered collection, the deadline is no later than 14 days after we receive the goods back or evidence that you sent them back, whichever is earlier. Where we have offered collection or no goods were supplied, we refund within 14 days after you tell us you are cancelling.

We use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund fee. Bank-processing estimates do not extend our legal refund obligations.

8. Our additional 45-day returns offer

In addition to your statutory rights, you may return unopened goods within 45 days of delivery for a full refund of the price paid for those goods. Contact us with your order number and product details for return instructions.

For a voluntary change-of-mind return, you pay direct return postage where legally permitted and disclosed before purchase. We pay necessary reasonable return postage when goods are faulty, damaged or incorrect, or the return is caused by our error.

The voluntary offer refunds the price paid for qualifying goods. It does not include outbound delivery charges unless the law requires their refund. Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund fee.

This additional offer does not replace or restrict statutory cancellation or faulty-goods rights. The unopened-goods condition applies only to this voluntary offer.

9. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods

Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose where applicable and as described. Tell us if something is faulty, damaged on arrival or incorrect, with your order details and an explanation. Photos can help, but are not a condition that removes your statutory rights.

You normally have a short-term right to reject non-conforming goods within 30 days, starting when the statutory conditions for that period are met. Other remedies, including repair, replacement, a price reduction or refund, may apply. Necessary reasonable return costs are our responsibility. A manufacturer’s warranty does not replace your rights against us, and original packaging is not required to exercise faulty-goods rights.

Where a statutory rejection entitles you to a refund, we provide it without undue delay and within 14 days beginning with the day we agree that you are entitled to it, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise and without a refund fee.

10. Responsibility

We remain responsible for losses for which the law makes us liable. These terms do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Please follow relevant product instructions. This does not reduce our obligation to supply goods that meet their description and applicable legal requirements.

11. Questions and complaints

Email sales@sbangling.co.uk, telephone 0333 090 6361 or write to the address in section 1. Give your order number if available and explain what you would like us to resolve. We will consider the issue and explain our response. You remain free to seek independent advice and exercise your legal remedies.

12. Personal information

For questions about how we use your personal information, contact sales@sbangling.co.uk. Ordering does not itself subscribe you to optional marketing.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future purchases. Changes do not retrospectively reduce rights or alter the terms and representations applicable when you placed an existing order.

Optional cancellation form

You may copy and complete this form, but any clear cancellation statement is sufficient.
