Cortland 444 Peach Floating Fly Line
The Cortland 444 Peach Floating Fly Line is a classic all-purpose freshwater fly line designed for smooth casting, supple handling and dependable floating performance.
Part of Cortland’s long-established 444 Series, the Peach has become a familiar choice for trout anglers looking for a versatile floating line for dry flies, nymphs and small streamers.
Its forgiving weight-forward taper provides smooth rod loading and controlled turnover, making it well suited to everyday river, reservoir and stillwater fly fishing.
Why Choose the Cortland 444 Peach?
A Proven All-Round Freshwater Fly Line
The Cortland 444 Peach is designed as an all-round floating fly line rather than a highly specialised modern taper.
That makes it an excellent choice for anglers who want one dependable line capable of covering a wide range of normal trout-fishing situations.
Whether you’re presenting a dry fly, controlling a nymph through a run or casting a small streamer, the 444 Peach provides smooth, predictable handling.
Smooth Weight-Forward Taper
The line features a 32ft weight-forward head designed to load the rod progressively and turn over leaders smoothly.
This forgiving profile helps provide good control at typical fishing distances without requiring an aggressive casting stroke.
The 58ft running line brings the total line length to 90ft.
Ultra-Supple, High-Floating Construction
The 444 Peach uses a braided nylon multifilament core with Cortland’s supple floating coating.
Its soft handling helps reduce stiffness while maintaining good line control, and the high-floating profile makes it particularly suitable for dry-fly fishing and surface presentation.
Welded Front Loop
A single welded front loop allows quick loop-to-loop attachment of your leader, making leader changes straightforward without the need to tie a permanent connection into the end of the fly line.
