Nylon Thread:

Polyester Thread:

Nylon threads are strong, stretchy, and available in a wide range of colors and sizes. They often have a smooth finish and can lay flat or be twisted. Uses: Ideal for general-purpose tying, securing materials, and building bodies. Nylon threads are versatile and suitable for both small and large flies.

Polyester threads are known for their durability and resistance to UV light. They tend to be slightly stiffer than nylon. Uses: Often used for tying saltwater flies and large streamers where durability is crucial. Also suitable for flies exposed to harsh conditions.

GSP (Gel-Spun Polyethylene) Thread:

Silk Thread:

GSP threads are ultra-strong, thin, and have little to no stretch. They offer high tensile strength for their size. Uses: Ideal for tying very small flies where strength is needed without adding bulk. Commonly used for tying fine, delicate patterns, and large, durable flies.

    Thread Sizes
